Living Room This eco conscious space deserved eco elements. A beautiful, custom made sectional sets the stage with its tufting and hypoallergenic feather fill, Canadian made of course. Natural, cranberry coloured silk draperies create a dramatic contrast and tie into the dining room feature wall. These custom drapes are hung on a bendable track that outlines the shape of these unique windows giving the home owner flexibility and ease with opening and closing. The Japanese, tatimi rug is made from 100% rush and also contains Aomori hiba, a natural oil with antibacterial and deodorizing properties. This rug is renewable, sustainable and biodegradable. An old, reclaimed chair was livened up with some new, 100% recycled polyester fabric. Dining Room Custom built table and chairs are a great size for this smaller space. The chairs are upholstered in a classic, subtle floral print not to compete with the client’s art. The art was put into various, custom frames and displayed on the feature wall. By painting out the bulk head allowed the dining room to feel like its own space, even though open to the rest of the condo. Cast iron brackets were reclaimed from an antique shop and used to support the shelf. In both living and dining room, the mixing of several finishes creates a feel of opulence. |
